Career Services: Career Development Workshops
Career Services exists to help students prepare and stand out for their career. We offer one-on-one advising sessions, presentations and various career development events and programs such as career expos, internship fairs, career panels, a job shadow program, STEM stipend program, and the Samson’s Career Closet where students can attain professional business clothing free of charge.
This year, Career Services is partnering with departments across campus to host a lunch workshop series titled "Food for Thought" focusing on topics including neurodivergent employment, grad school preparation, internship engagement, professional etiquette, and interviewing well. These workshops will provide lunch free of charge to registered students.
How will funds be used?
These funds will be utilized to host five "Food for Thought" lunch workshops, provided to students for free of charge.
Why are donations necessary?
Students are eager to learn professional skills, but many cannot afford the cost to participate in professional development events and experiences. This "Food for Thought" workshop series will not only educate students on a variety of topics but will also give them the opportunity to build their social capital by connecting with industry professionals.
