Department of Nursing: Increasing Student Support
The Department of Nursing is committed to providing exceptional undergraduate and graduate nursing programs taught by professor-mentors in a dynamic learning community. For Giving Day 2024, the department would like to continue to financially assist students where it is needed, providing them with resources to continue their Christ-centered nursing education.
Why should donors support this fund?
According to the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, the U.S. is projected to experience an ongoing shortage of registered nurses as baby boomers require increased care. The shortage is largely due to nursing schools nationwide struggling to expand to meet the demand. Vanguard University, however, embraced the challenge by expanding nursing program offerings at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Donating to Vanguard’s Department of Nursing will support this mission of training and equipping the next generation of nurses.
Student Impact

How will funds be used?
A contribution to this project will directly support Vanguard University nursing students experiencing financial hardship. Funds raised will be used to purchase textbooks, uniforms, course materials, or pay unexpected school bills that are not covered by financial aid.
