Men's Volleyball

We will be prepared and at our best to compete among the best collegiate volleyball programs in the country.

It is a very exciting time for Vanguard University Athletics as we move to NCAA Division II. Our men’s volleyball team is unique from all our other sports teams as we will compete in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF). Until recently, the MPSF has been made up of only Division I institutions, which included USC, UCLA, and Stanford. The conference has won 18 NCAA championships in men’s volleyball, including the last two. Our MPSF conference home opening match versus the USC Trojans will be February 28 and we will be hosting the back-to-back defending national champions UCLA Bruins on March 13.

Why should donors support?

There is no higher level of collegiate competition and more than ever, we need your support. Your generosity will allow us to provide the resources for our athletes that will allow them to prepare for and compete at this elite level.

How will the funds be used?

Specifically, this Giving Day, with our donor support, we will raise the funds to upgrade our video and technical hardware to more efficiently study and improve our athletes’ individual and team performance, and to evaluate more thoroughly our opponents. We also hope to make the necessary repairs to our serving machine and purchase a speed monitor to evaluate and improve our serving velocity.

The success of our team is not only determined by the athletes and coaches, but by our whole team, which includes students, administrators, our donors, and all our supporters. Our community is part of our team, and we engage you to join, to prepare and be at our best when we compete among the best!
