Sports Medicine: Supporting Our Athletes
The goal of the athletic training Giving Day initiative is to enhance the support of the more than 450 Vanguard student-athletes with special emphasis on new equipment and modalities that will help our student-athletes recover and maintain their optimal performance level.
Giving Day 2023 Update Last year was the first year we participated in the Giving Day initiative. We raised nearly 50% of our goal, which went toward improving student-athlete injury and recovery time. Modalities and supplies were financed through the generosity of "you" the supporters of Vanguard Athletics. How will these funds be used, specifically or generally?
This year we hope to raise funds to purchase tools that will help us serve students even better, such as a cart to drive supplies and equipment to our venues as well as transport injured athletes to the athletic training room for evaluations.
Why should donors contribute to your particular project?
In sports medicine, our support of the student-athletes is first and foremost. Everything we do helps contribute to all VU athletes so they can give everything they got for their team. Each donation gives the opportunity for the sports medicine department to update ever-changing medical supplies and equipment to match–or supersede–our opponents.
