Women's Basketball
The Vanguard women's basketball team is excited about the 2024-25 season, competing for the first year in the PacWest conference at the NCAA Division II level. The women's basketball team continues to pursue the highest standard of excellence while building on the rich history our program has created with the support of others.
Giving Day 2023 Update Because of the support we received from 130 supporters, Giving Day 2023 generosity covered travel expenses for the year, an assistant coach stipend, a memorable team bonding weekend, and much more! How will funds be used?
These funds will be used to create an exceptional experience for our student-athletes. We will use these funds to cover an assistant coaching stipend, professional development, recruiting, new team gear, and other costs associated with conducting our season. Funds will also help with costs related to trips to Canada and Hawaii for conference play. We thank you in advance for the donations, prayers, and support! We hope to see you in the Freed Center this upcoming year!
Why should donors support this fund?
The women's basketball program strives for excellence both in the classroom and on the court, prioritizing life beyond basketball for our players. It is important to ensure the student-athlete experience propels them upward to their individual and unique calling after college. By contributing to our project, donors are supporting the student-athlete experience and displaying generosity to our players, in the hope that they will share that same generosity in their lives.
Student Impact
“Giving day is a big fundraiser for us to get ready financially to kickstart our season. The generous support of everyone will make a significant impact in many ways, and every dollar will go straight to the women’s basketball program! This will help us cover travel expenses for our conference trip to Hawaii, gear, and so much more. Thank you in advance for all the love and support!” Sarah Matossian '25
