Softball: Pursuing Excellence
A key component to our success is establishing team chemistry and developing our team culture. The primary goals for this year’s Giving Day campaign are a team retreat, upgrading equipment, and improving our facilities.
Giving Day 2023 UpdateThroughout the 2023-24 school year, the softball program underwent the most transformational year in terms of team culture and growth in our faith. The funds from the 2023 Giving Day were primarily used toward several team bonding events, which played an essential role in developing our culture. These events included team karaoke, team meals, and beach and pool days.
Along with contributing to our team culture, the funds were used for equipment updates for our student-athletes, including new helmets for the entire team. Ultimately, the Vanguard softball team accomplished their best year since 2019, coming up one game shy of advancing to the World Series. Without the generosity of all of you, none of what we accomplished last year would have been possible!
Why should donors support this fund?
With the generosity of our donors, we can provide the best student-athlete experience for every individual in our program, providing our student-athletes with the resources and materials they need to succeed on and off the field. Contributing to our program will also allow us to continue building our team culture with the foundation of the Lord.

How will the funds be used?
With 2024-25 being our first year competing in the NCAA DII PacWest Conference, funds will go toward travel to Hawaii to compete against three conference teams. We will also use Giving Day support to supplement the budget for new uniforms.
